Home care for toddlers
Wednesday, July 16th, 2008Once your kid is strong enough to stand up, walk and run, you have to realize that one way or another, he will end up with bruises and scratches from accidents. You must therefore be able to prepare your home to keep the toddler safe and injury-free.
Here are a few things that you might want to try in order to keep your house safe for your toddler.
1. Use safety devices. These devices include electrical outlet covers, gates, window guards, toilet seat and cabinet locks.
2. Do not leave your toddler alone even for just a short amount of time. Toddlers engage in more accidents as compared to children of any other age group.
3. Keep the doors closed, place baby gatesa on the stairs and keep chairs and ladders out of their way. This will help prevent falls.
4. Lock all cleaning products and medications.
5. Keep your toddler out of the kitchen to prevent burns and other injuries.
