The “monster-turning-machine”
When I was a kid, I love watching cartoons. I could sit down for the rest of the day watching Yogi Bear or Super Mario Brothers. But then, my grandmother and my mother would always turn it off and try to spoil the fun. We would just color stuff, play some card games and basically do anything that does not involve televisions.
I finally understood why they are doing it. There was a study that those kids who watch a lot of television are more prone to bully other kids around. The study showed that at an increase of 3.9 hours of TV everyday will lead to a 25 percent increase in the probability of the kid becoming a bully.
There are a lot of violent cartoons that are being played. Children tend to imitate their moves and try it out on weaker individuals. This should not be the case. if your kid is addicted to TV, make it a point that you limit his stay and also, make sure that you supervise them in everything that they watch.
