During these times, sleep is something that is constantly being neglected. This is because there are a lot of factors that could keep the teens awake. Factors such as the Internet, computer games, late night movies, cable channels and all sorts of distractions that you can think of. However, teens need to get plenty of sleep. It should fall between 8 1/2 and nine hours every night for them to feel good and keep their bodies in top condition.
Here are some of the warning signs that the US Department of Health and Human Services have given to check if your kid is not getting proper shuteye:
1. Difficulty getting out of bed in the morning
2. Problems in focusing.
3. Falling asleep during classes.
4. Feeling irritable, depressed, moody or sad most of the time.
