Career Day Talk
Have you ever felt great that you were invited to talk to the class for career day? Everyone is out there looking and listening at you and how you achieved such success in life and having such a wonderful and intelligent child. But the problem is, do you know what to say? Here are a few things to consider in making that life changing speech:

Ask the teacher for a list of typical questions that the children may ask.

Find a simple way to explain your job. You may talk to your child to explain what you are doing. This way, you can use the words that are understandable to children of the same age and you get to correct any misconceptions in the process.

Bring in props if possible. You may want to give out pens with company logos and if your company creates products then you may as well bring it and explain it in the class.

Show them how you became interested and what traits you had to acquire that job. Explain what situations you encountered as a child that drove you to a conclusion that you want the job that you are into now.

Be frank. Tell them what you like and what you do not like about your job. About not liking your job, tell them something like it is taking precious bonding moments with the kids. Its something that they will understand as they grow up.
